Site push notification - repeatedly clicking "Never Ask"

Occasionally the AFF website asks me whether I want to accept push notifications from the website. My position is "no, no way, never" and I always click on "Never Ask Again".

Yet I've just had to click that again, for about the fourth time this year.

What gives, AFF? Are you really that desperate to give me push notifications that you are repeatedly ignoring my requests to stop asking?
