Hi all, on our trip next year MrsGurio would like to break the trip up and not do it in one hit so stop-over city here we come. Now i guess we have the choice of either SIN or DXB. Now i have always wanted to go stay at the Burj. I was trolling through their site and noticed that in the SiriusPoints program its only 6500 points per night for a deluxe suite which beats paying $3.5k for it any day as far as i am concerned. The issue is i have no idea how to launder points over to SiriusPoints from my Amex MR account. Is there anyway to get them over there and what is the point transfer rate? IIRC I think that you can sweep them straight into it for a 1:1 ratio but now i cant find it for some reason.

No, it was recently added as an option directly from Ascent. I have never done it, but it does appear as a redemption option for me on the Amex site.

Straight swap or not are you still considering using 195,000 Amex MR points for 1 night in a hotel?

Short answer is no... When i was doing the sums i thought it was 1:1 and at that rate it was obviously attractive, at the newly known rate however they dont stand a chance in hell. After all why would you pass up a night in a 2 - 3k hotel for a 6k spend?
