Singapore (SQ) advance seat selection for Velocity Gold/Platinum?

Hi all, the new SQ advance seat selection rules are a mess. The new rules state Krisflyer Silver and up get it for free. Does anyone know what the situation is for Velocity elites? Is this something extended to partner elites?

Nope.

Will it stop me flying SQ probably not... but it's something to factor in when comparing prices.

SQ could easily extend the benefit to Platinums (even just to select standard seats) and make several people happy in the process.
