Singapore on Velocity points

Yes, the co-payment of taxes for SQ redemptions via VFF are insanely expensive.

I've just cancelled a 2 leg SQ business reward itinerary, the taxes were $500+. Got all my points back but just minus a $60 cancellation fee.

A similar business reward itinerary using QFF points on QF and CX was around $250 in comparison - this was before the recent devaluation. Not sure how much it would be now as my points balance for QFF is in double digits now.
