Singapore Airlines (SIA) said Thursday its fiscal second quarter net profit fell 36.2 per cent from the previous year and the outlook remained weak due to slowing travel demand and volatile currencies.

The airline earned S$324 million in the three months to September, down from S$508 million. Revenue came in at S$4.38 billion, up 10.4 per cent from the same quarter last year.

Well i for one hope there is a backlash !
SQ screwed there PPS club member and now doing it even more.

I see United have put back the minimum trip miles for there elites after the less than desired response.

No way i would pay $USD 50 for SIN-SGN for example in an exit row i used to get just by requesting... are they dreaming ! (maybe SIN-FRA i would consider the cost but even then probably not)

There is an arguement that if people pay for J they would pay for exit rows... but i am not sure sure, i guess time will tell.
