Flying J to CPH from SIN two Thursdays ago, scored the antiquated SQ 772 2/2/2 configuration. Seats were terrible in feet space and overall comfort. Probably dosent mean much to you, however if you can discover the aircraft type prior to travel, avoid the 772 at all costs. Apparently the 772ER has the newer 1/2/1 confiuration in J

SQ are in processing of upgrading all 777-200ERs to the 1-2-1 configuration, that go to secondary European ports like CPH. The older models have the original "spacebeds", roughly equivalent to Skybed Mk I in QF speak. Fantastic by 2003 standards, not so much in 2013. I think by the end of the year all will be upgraded and all routes (AMS, CPH, FCO, IST, JNB, CPT, plus some NZ services) where the SQ 777-200ER operates will be upgraded to the 1-2-1 product.

I've had good sleeps on both types of seats. I always get amazed at the way the arm rests angle down as the seat reclines.

What sort of seat is the "1-2-1 product" exactly ?
The same seats as on the 77W and 388 or different ?

SIN-CPH will be on the 1-2-1 configuration starting from 14th Aug. I have SIN-IST & CPH-SIN in J end of the month, can't wait to try the new(old) A380 seats
