Sheraton Noosa to get a refurb

The refurbishment of this iconic resort will incorporate guestrooms, suites and villas. The modern style of the new-look guestrooms will subtly blend local references into the design, bringing a new level of contemporary luxury to Hastings Street. Inspired by nature and designed for comfort, the light open spaces will draw on the textures and colours of Noosa’s location taking inspiration from the surrounding natural environment and rich cultural heritage.
Also included in the refurbishment plan will be the porte-cochere, providing an enriched sense of arrival, guest corridors to seamlessly link public areas and guests rooms and the repainting of the Resort’s exterior. Cato’s Restaurant & Bar will be re-designed to enhance its coveted street frontage and the Resort’s conference space will be given a refreshing uplift in design, reinforcing the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa’s appeal as Noosa’s smartest conference venue.

Have to say, not before time, it has been tired for a while now. its a shame they still dont have the old Laguna bay beach club.

In today's AFR in the property section there is a write up with some details on the refurb.

The resort is to get a new paint scheme, mostly white, rooms and resturants will be updated making the resort the centre piece of Hastings St.

Room rates of course will reflect the refurb .....
