We recently stayed here.As a SPG platinum upgraded to a higher floor and slightly bigger room-there are no suites here. However there are useful platinum benefits.
At the Bamboo lounge in the lobby there is a reasonably drink list that platinum members can choose from for free drinks 1200-2030.

A free breakfast is also available but limited. The American breakfast for example is-Orange juice
2 eggs orPlain Omelette with bacon or sausage and a potato gem
2 pieces of toast
Tea or coffee.
The gardens are attractive-

The SPG concierge woman are fantastic-got us into 2 booked out restaurants(Iron chef Chinese Ken Chenichi and Iron chef French Sakai). Also remembered to ask us how we enjoyed the meals afterwards.printed off maps of the local areas with Japanese translations if we had to ask for directions.
There is a free shuttle every 15 minutes to Meguro station or it can be walked in 10 minutes.
Next door are the Happo-en Gardens which feature in many tours of Tokyo.
A pleasant stay and will consider returning in cherry blossom season for the gardens next door.

I hope the fact that you did not say much about the food is not an indication they are no good ?

Ah no.That will come soon in my epic trip report-with photos of Sakai's La Rochelle.

This seems a truly excellent Sheraton by all accounts of everyone who's stayed there. Unfortunately it is nowhere near where I want to be. :(

Where do you want to be ?
I have stayed as a few decent places (since in Tokyo i will eather choose cheap business hotels or 5*, the in-between seems expensive compared to 5* ones so just spend a little more)

What about the Westin Tokyo ? (Can be expensive ! but ihave booked for around $280 but not sure how exchange rates wil hurt right now)

(Or is you like Disney land you can try the Sheraton there, but i cant comment on its quality since i have never stayed out that way, i only looked because there is also an IC out there, but not good for where i need to go)

Edit: I think you know good value picks.. The ANA IC Tokyo and Park Hotel Tokyo, but neither are SPG. IF you want to see my avoid list its pretty long ! but i doubt you would ever stay in then since they are in the suburbs.

I want to be in Shinjuku and as such none of the SPGs suit. I stay at the Hilton when in TYO, one of my rare 'non-SPG' cities.
I don't mind being near Harajuku as well, I might check that out next time as the shopping there is fantastic - though expensive cab ride back from nightlife at Shinjuku or stay out till 5am (not possible on weekdays) when the metro opens.

But yes physically the Sheraton is v noice, went there to eat at the Chinese place and found the decor to be a lot nicer than the Westin or the LMs.
