Hi Guys, I'm heading to Singapore next month and onto Ipoh Malaysia, on my return leg, I will land in SG about 1 and half hours before the flight to Aus leaves, My question is that do I need to clear custom in SG and check in again to get the boarding pass or would I be able to checkin at the gate. I will traveling with carryon only. Cheers

SIN has combined arrivals and departures levels, just head to a transit desk to pick up your baording pass for your trip to Syd, no need to go through customs. Unless its a budget airline as pointed out below and in the FAQ's.

If you are flying in from Ipoh, I assume it is on Firefly - therefore it will land at the budget terminal, and you will have to clear immigration to get to main terminal for you're flight to Aus (unless on Tiger to Perth).

Thanks guys. I will be flying with Firefly. Is the budget terminal far from the main terminal?

It's quite a fair distance from the main terminals so walking is not a favourable option.

There's a free shuttle bus that takes you to T2. Journey time is around 7-8 mins. ;) IIRC, it's every 10 mins for most of the day.
