I am having difficulties in accessing this site. Each time I go to it I am asked for user name and password. Upon entering the latter it generally asks again but then bounces me out as I am purportedly not providing the correct log-in details.

Anyone else finding this problem?

Yeah...

From what I understand, the website owner wasn't in the mood to provide the service anymore free of charge...

Whether that means that it'll be a user-pays system soon, I don't know!

Ta sbn. Wish the message would read something like "The owner of this site is sick of providing all you freeloaders with info for nix. So p*** off and leave me alone, go on all of you, get out" Then we would know what is going on.

Thanks for this Bill. Now all I need is a reservation number. That will be at the end of this month so I will let you know how it performed.

Attached is a comment from thadocta which was posted on the "Open Discussion / www site for seating allocation by booking # anyone got it ?" forum.

Check My Trip works for any booking made in Amadeus (1A), the system used by Qantas. Viewtrip, on the other hand, is Galileo's site (3G, I believe), and will only work if either the carrier is hosted on 3G or the booking was made by a travel agent attached to 3G.
