Velocity gold flying BNE-DPS in Y. 2 adults & an infant. On a Friday in late April.

Im unable to select seats online. Will this become available online or will I need to ring to have seats assigned? I assume as close to the front as possible is the way to go on the 737? Will it be possible to have a seat blocked for us or is this only a platinum benefit?

Also, does anyone have any comment on the average load on this route? Is it usually close to full?

Thanks all :)

Anything forward of the engines will be fine to minimise noise - the seat pitch gets tighter at the back also.

I'd give them a call now as it's likely a fuller flight - seat block is spotty on VA and unlikely to happen.

Definately ring now. I believe that seats A - C in rows 4 - 7 have slightly more leg room as well.

Based on what i'm seeing in the booking engine recently, i'm almost certain that pretty much the entire plane opens up for seat election at T-48 now.

If you search for flights departing within 48 hours as a RED member then you can select seats up to Row 4 in some cases, and up to Row 5 in pretty much all cases (if seats are vacant of course).

So much for VA maintaining reserved seating zones after check-in opens....
