Saver Lite - 2 sectors - no offer to Upgrade Me on 1. Chance of upgrade in lounge?

Booked a 2 sector ticket Saver Lite fare - first sector is PER-SYD (leaving at 05:35am).

Expert Flyer is showing plenty of J availabilty.

Though received email 1 week out for Upgrade Me on second sector (SYD-CBR), no invite for PER-SYD (says it's unavailable).

Just wondered if anybody had had any success with getting an upgrade at the lounge (am SG) - happy to use points for this and was going to arrive a little earlier to sort this.

If not, then I might cut the check-in time a bit finer, and spend a bit longer in bed!

Not speaking from experience here, but I'd take the sleep-in over trying to upgrade in the lounge. I'm pretty sure only flexi fares are upgradeable in the lounge. But then I didn't think saver lite fares were available for upgrade me premium bids either...
