From current Virtuoso magazine, suggestions from one of Santiago's 'leading' chefs:

Weekend Brunch: The White Rabbit in Bellavista
Tasting menu: 99 Restaurante, modern Chilean, 6 or 9 course menus in Vitacura
Coffee: Colmado Coffee and Bar in Lastarria
coughtails: Siete Negronis in Providencia

Shopping: "Drugstore" mall with small and local designers in Providencia
Culture: Lastarria neighbourhood for art and fashion museums
Hotel: Ritz-Carlton in El Golf area of Las Condes

I transit through SCL so often, but next month will be only the third time in 12 years I actually cross the border. (damn you!! reciprocal fee:mad:)

Why so upmarket?? The best Chilean cuisine is a "completo" hotdog with sauerkraut and avocado and mayo, etc.

Or go up the Elqui Valley in the IV Region for a Lomo Vetado steak - best meat on the planet......

Its a "Virtuoso" magazine thing. Everything's up-market! My TA sends it to me as very occasionally, I do a Virtuoso booking through them.
