I was just looking at the SAA program, and thought if you didn't want to be loyal to any particular alliance, it would be difficult to find a better program to be a part of for a "disloyal" Australian traveller.

QF, SA, CX, EK, OS, TG, VS, others . Wonder what will happen when they join * - whether they'll lose CX, EK & QF? If not, by throwing SQ, NZ & UA into the mix, it would then cover most of the major airlines flying to/from Australia in most directions, just missing DJ, MH & BA. Would be great program to be in if one wanted to spread the international travel around. (especially looking at the redemption rates on QF)

Almost certainly SA will lose some FFP partners when they join *A. There is also a chance (not definite) the earning & burning rates will be rejigged.
