Anyone stayed at Rydges Sydney Airport? We booked a night in a couple of weeks time as we are overnighting in Sydney to go to Los Angeles. I am hoping they double glazed the windows but with the flight curfew times it probably does not matter.

Stayed there last year. Our room faced the airport and I don't recall any issue with aircraft noise. The lack of toilet noise privacy however…

The toilet door isn't full length, so you can hear every tinkle etc. Just need to put the TV or music on (or sing) I guess.

We have stayed there 3 times so far, nice bar and food, no noise, excellent location, from front to Int. terminal 3 mins..

Never stayed in a room like that All the rooms I've stayed in (funny corner shaped suites facing the runway) have the bathroom near the entrance doorway with fully enclosed walls and door.

The room config that we had was like this -



The toilet was closest to the room entry doorway and bedding area. The glass door had a gap top and bottom.

Our room in Thailand just had a shade to pull across.

In many hotels these days there's just a glass panel.

Yes, windows double glazed. Sound is not an issue at all. We had a room facing the runway.

It is quite a pleasant hotel and we have booked an overnight stay again prior to our flight to JNB in May.

More than likely. Have a few nights in Cape Town and wine is in the plan

I don't have top status here but certainly get some discounts which is a bonus. Usually stay at Hilton if I can and prices reasonable, but Rydges generally seem to offer good value.
