RTW Redemption

Hi All

I am planning to go to Greece for a wedding at the end of May 2017 and need to be in Vancouver for a family reunion in the first 2 weeks of July. Not sure what I'm doing in the middle but plan to go somewhere in Europe for the month of June. I will be flying from Melbourne. So, I am thinking that a RTW ticket would be the best option. I can't seem to find anything on RTW redemptions on the AAdvantage OW charts. I've only ever booked return flights in J with points so rtw or Multi city redemptions are something I know nothing about.

So, is a RTW ticket/Multi city ticket my best option? If so, how do I go about booking it? Also how many points would I need (and is it worth it)

AAdvantage no longer offer RTW redemptions. They used to but they stopped offering it, without notice. If you are still keen on using AA points, you will have to book a series of one way point to point redemptions, at the published points rates.

As mentioned AA no longer offers this, sadly. But if you happen to have a handy supply of Qantas points, you could book a oneworld award.

Not enough qff points unfortunately. Might look at a plaine old return flight and make my own way across country. I've got enough AA points for one way in J and will buy some next promotion. Is there still one on now? My newsletter mentioned a 100% bonus until the end of this month which I wasn't aware of.

Also, I'm trying to download and install the KVS tool on my new Samsung Tab but it's just not happening. Any suggestions?

Am I understanding correctly that you're trying to download the KVS tool onto a tablet?

As far as I'm aware, it only works on desktop computers. In fact, it only really works on PCs - you need crossover software to run the tool on a Mac or Linux computer.

Correct, I've been trying to download to a tablet. I don't have a PC anymore and the laptop has died. The closest I can get is the mobile companion which has limited search capabilities. I'm heading off o/s tomorrow and really needed the KVS tool while i was away to research future flights. I've just recently renewed my Diamond membership so it's a bit of a bugger.

The main KVS Tool application (which has full Award Availability support) requires a proper machine (i.e. PC or Mac desktop/laptop/netbook) to run on.

KVS Tool Mobile Companion can be accessed from any device (incl. smartphones and tablets).

I have found the mobile companion but it doesn't look like it does Award Redemption searches. Is that correct or have I not looked far enough? I have my Diamond membership purely for award searches.

Your suggestions will be appreciated. I will have a better look at the Mob companion in the meantime.

That is a huge shame. I'm on the go pretty much all the time now and have just bought the Samsung Tab as it makes more sense when permanently in transit. I didn't realise I would lose the ability to access the main kvs tool .

How do I go about cancelling my membership? I love the application but have no way of using it now.
