I'm heading off to Europe at Christmas and have a whirlwind 2 week tour planned. The gentleman and I are planning on staying in Rome from 22 to 26 December. I've never been to Italy before so have no idea what to expect but I am assuming that there will be nothing open on Christmas Day. With this in mind, I assume that we need to stay at a larger hotel to ensure we will be able to eat on Christmas Day. As we are only there a few days, we would like to stay somewhere close to the main tourist places. Being Christmas, I know that I won't be getting discounts rates, so recommendations for anything AUD$350 or under would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
