Rex bag drop and tips?

So first timer on Rex....
How long before flight can I bag drop?
Any free on board meal?
If I'm late to pick up bag will they have it in holding area?
On board entrainment?
Any other tips?

Dunno when’s the earliest checkin opens. Their website only states a ‘recommended’ arrival of 60 mins prior to departure. I’d hazard that two hours would be ok? Which is the minimum industry standard for arrival at the airport.

On board entertainment is via rex wifi… but only available on some aircraft. You won’t know until you board and they reach 10000 feet and turn it on (if they have it). It’s easy… switch to airplane mode and choose rex wifi.

Very limited selection, but tv and movies are free, Email and stuff can be done but with extra charge for main cabin. No headsets are provided, so you’ll need your own.

Main cabin tea, coffee, water and a packaged snack are free. The snack is either savoury pretzel type things, or a sweet version. Business class is full meal. Beer and wine is available for purchase in the main cabin for $7. There’s no menu at your seat to tell you what’s available.
On arrival the bags come out just like any other carrier. There’s no one around. Dunno if they collect any unclaimed bags but the other day I saw a lone bag from a previous flight going around the carousel… so I guess no one was checking.At least in that instance.

I believe all seats are opened up during checkin at the airport. So you may be able to secure yourself a seat in rows 3, 4, or 5 if in the main cabin. These are the former Virgin X rows, so come with more legroom. Or else one of the exits.

You can also bid for upgrade now. Starting at $10. I reckon an upgrade is worth around $50-75. Might be worthwhile.

Fantastic info.
Jetstar is only one hour before flight so if can drop earlier and find someone to guest me Virgin Melb would be great
Might have to do a few SHORTS on this flight.

Do you need to collect and check-in bags on Bris-syd-melb or do they check thru?
I believe I'm changing planes....
Is Sydney Rex lounge same as Melbourne.... as probably buy food with priority pass

Check-in online waited to tonight and most seats gone as not locked in
