We will be returning our hire car to Birmingham UK airport to avoid the different location fee. But I was wondering has anybody offered to return the car to a different location that the hire company nominates. For us anywhere between Bristol and London would be better.

Am I dreaming?

What I have learned is nothing ventured nothing gained - got nothing to lose in asking via email.
Back in 2013, decided to change our itinerary rather than trying to get the hire car back to Milan as dropping off the car in Bordeaux made much easier all round along with connections to Dublin.
Couldn't believe it when picking the car up, the Milan Europcar office advised they were waiving the $443 drop off charge as they had secured a booking returning the car.
