Hi,
Just wondering if anyone here has used rentalcarprotection.com.au for rental car insurance? If so, have you needed to make a claim and how was the issue handled? Have a friend having their car recalled and will be off the road for six weeks. The car manufacturer will cover the cost of a rental car but not the insurance. Quote from rentalcarprotection.com.au is around $155 for an annual policy with trips up to 60 days.

I suggest that your friend contact their own car insurer and see if they might have coverage available under their existing policy.

It won't hurt to ask.
 
I have used rentalcarprotection.com.au once but had no need to claim. Was satisfied with the policy. Be aware however that they cover you for the excess up to $10,000. They are not covering you for general comprehensive insurance.
