Remember to shred your boarding passes

I got a boarding pass this week for the first time in about a year (except for the one OS trip) so I was wondering who even gets domestic BPs now? Been using the phone for ages. However on reading this thread I realised I'd thrown my BPs for the trip up in the hotel room bin! [retrieving now - it was floating - like an angel].

I always get a hardcopy BP. I get pizzed off with the airline and pax who stand at the scanning point trying to get their phone screens scanned; no; try again; no, try again; and again and again and again; oh, lets just print it off. Sure, not every time but enough for me to swear that I don't want to be in that situation; then I'd have to curse myself :) .

OTOH I can guarantee that I have kept and will keep in the future all the longhaul first class boarding passes for flights which I have paid for.

They're kept in the box with the pixie dust from Tinkerbell's last visit...

Happy wandering

Fred

I keep the boarding passes until all the points & credits have been received and a couple of weeks later, I shred them.

I had a VA booking that was completed and VA wouldn't give me the points and SCs unless I could produce a boarding pass.

I've only ever had a problem about once - she tried a couple of times but then just hit a button (thought she'd have to type in the details) and it was all good to go.

Problem is with people with phone screens with too short a time-out and needing a PIN to wake them up, I think.

Yes. I see this a lot while sitting in my seat and people are boarding and they are asked for their BPs. Get phone out, put pin in, find correct screen, show FA, get welcomed and told row 28 left hand side and they stop at row 4, look at the number, look at their phone, put pin in again and repeat until they make it to their row. :)
