We are flying SYD-BNE on a 767 next month. I was thinking about using some points for a J upgrade. The refurbished J looks much better than the old one. Anyone tried J in one of these planes?

Yes, I found the refurb J seats uncomfortable and after speaking to the crew, was informed many complaints have been received - apparently the seats need more padding.

If any of the check-in staff paid the slightest attention to the numpties that get on with 12 pieces of carry-on each there'd be a bit more space. Fair cop that a single bag of appropriate dimensions is a bit of a squeeze but how often have we all seen dills with bags that clearly belong in the hold?

That's a shame! I booked a BNE-SYD-BNE JASA before the change and am on 767s both ways.

Yep, many times - they are fine :)
Enjoy!

So we are stuck with 737's only on short haul domestic? Sad indeed....

I doubt it though given that QF does not need 20 A332s to run on the trans-con services from SYD,MEL and BNE so I am fairly sure we will see a few of these birds on the golden triangle. Also, the 10 A332s are not fully/optimally utilised at the moment anyway.
