Refund for exit row if upgrade me bid succeeds?

I'm flying away for a weekend taking my mother and my son.
By the time booked there were no reward seats in J for their return flight.
So at the moment they are booked in Y on a revenue fare.
I have paid the extra legroom fee to put them in the exit row as these were the only two adjacent seats available.
If I bid to upgrade them and succeed will that be refunded?

Oh just found the aswer. No.
