With Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, if I refer a fried and they join from the link then I can earn up to 10,000 points.... Does this also apply to Virgin Blue?

I have 100,000 Virgin Atlantic points and I fail to see where I can use them because of availability, but I would like some more Vilocity Points?

Unfortunately the answer is no...

Virgin Atlantic (VS) and Virgin Blue (DJ) are two completely separate companies.

You may be able to redeem your flying club miles/points on Virgin Blue flights but I'm not entirely sure on that one...

You can redeem them on DJ :

As an Australia-based member, you can now redeem your miles for travel domestically in Australia with Virgin Blue.

Virgin Blue redemption levels:

Sydney - Melbourne 12,500
Sydney - Brisbane 12,500
Sydney - Adelaide 15,000
Sydney / Melbourne - Cairns 20,000

Melbourne - Darwin 20,000


At those rates I would be looking at AirNZ, PER-NZ is 30K in J! Or SQ, or MH or even Springbok which is 110K return J to South Africa ex Perth.
