Red Energy referral 15,000 QF points [now 7,000 or $100]

A BIG thank you to "JAMES" and another to "CAITLIN".
You both independently used my name Claudia and my referral number 6840020 when you signed up, and today I received the 2 x $50 egift cards from Red Energy. Such a nice surprise, so thank you so much. I hope you are equally happy with your 10,000 (or $15,000 with gas) Qantas sign up points, plus the $50 egift card you each received for referring me. I hope someone pays it forward to you, too, should they need a referral. I used each of my e$50 egift cards to redeem 7000 Qantas points. Thank you so much :) I don't take these referrals for granted, and am truly appreciative.

Thanks for sharing your codes! Here is my account code if someone need a referral for $50 gift card and a guaranteed share of 3 million Qantas Points: 6008399

'Captainroma" the 3 million Qantas points promo ended 15 June!
However, new switching customers to Red Energy can still receive the usual sign up bonus Qantas points (10,000 QFF for elec, 5000 QFF for gas). That's on top of the 2 points per $1 you pay on your bill. AND then there's the $50 egift card for using a referral name (Claudia) and code (6840020)

A BIG thank you to DANIELLE 😘 who referred me as a friend when signing up to red. Referral code 6840020 name Claudia. We both benefitted from the $50 e- gift card which can be used at a variety of large retailers or redeemed for 3500 Qantas points. I hope it is paid forward to you, too.

Thanks Rav for using my code

However - did anyone else in SE Qld get the new increase in the rates commencing on 1/9? We are now on the hunt again as our previous provider is now cheaper!!

Thank you to all the people who switched to Red and referred me. 6840020 Claudia.
Unfortunately, now Red have reduced their switching rewards to $25 gift card or 1500 QFF points:

“For every friend you refer that switches their home electricity to one of our great value plans, we’ll give you both a $25 eGift Card*or if you are on a Qantas Red residential electricity plan the choice of 1,500 Qantas Points^.”

This thread seems to be overrun with a couple of members who've contributed very little to AFF other than repeatedly spamming their referral codes. 🤔

Let's direct referrals to members who actively contribute to other parts of AFF! Use my account number 7839438 when signing up to Red Energy for both of us to receive a $25 gift card or 1500 Qantas points 😁

I was actually informing people of the change/reduction to Red's Rewards to avoid being misled, there's a big drop in the rewards offered now, PLUS I always like to personally thank the lovely people who use my referral code. I hope they post their codes here too so its paid forward to them. But I appreciate you wanting to jump on the bandwagon. Did you actually refer to Red's website when you quoted the $25 gift card and 1500 QFF points, or just quoting me copying from my above post? Anyway, all the best. From CLAUDIA Referral code 6840020

I have just received notification from Red Energy of electricity price increases from August 31. Usage tariff is up about 15% and the daily service charge by almost 29%. Rates vary by location (I am in North Sydney). My gas tariffs also increased by 10-15% in July.

I am sure AFFers don't blindly sign up for the QF points so this is just a polite message to check Reds tariffs against their competitors before you sign up. I have just compared my new Red Energy rates against AGL and Origin and they are pretty similar so I am not moving at this time.

I have had at least 3 referrals from this site so pleased to recommend @sudoer referral as he is a big contributor to this site. His code is 7839438.

Red Energy are offering either a $25 eGift card or 1500 Qantas points for the referrer and the referree. My link, if you would like to use it is: Red Energy - Refer A Friend

The link above is unique despite the forum software overwriting my decision to display the url of the link as the link text. Here is the non-clickable link:

Our bill is not huge but the increase was very noticeable. Reminds me to start searching for alternatives.

Thanks to everyone that has used my referral in the past.

Good things are worth sharing! Join me and sign up to Red Energy. If you switch your electricity and/or gas to a Red Energy residential plan, we both get rewarded with a $25 eGift card or if on a Qantas Red residential plan, the choice of 1,500 Qantas Points. Call Red Energy on 131 806, select option 3 and quote my unique referral code 7039463 and sign up to a 100% Australian owned company.

I have noticed a big increase so I've now changed to Origin. We'll see how that goes for the next few months and I might switch back again if it's worthwhile.

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Hi All - nearly 5 years after the opening post ... (how time flies! :) )

Just wondering if anyone has had success at a second grab at the Red Energy points offer?

T&Cs do state that you need to be a 'new customer' - I am still at the same address I previously had the points credited. So unlikely but is it worth a shot?

* Available for new residential electricity and/or gas customers in eligible areas of ACT, NSW, VIC, SA and QLD only with a current Qantas Frequent Flyer membership who sign up with Red Energy on a Qantas Red plan for a new electricity and/or gas service at a new supply address. This means you could be eligible if you are a new customer of Red Energy, or an existing customer of Red Energy signing up to a new supply address. Customers will receive 10,000 bonus Qantas Points for electricity and/or 5,000 bonus Qantas Points for gas once Red Energy becomes responsible for the supply of the customer’s electricity and/or gas supply. Bonus Qantas Points will only be awarded once if you change energy providers and move back to Red Energy within 12 months. Ongoing Qantas Points will be earned per dollar on your electricity and/or gas bill, when you pay the full amount on each bill by the due date. Red Energy may withdraw or change this offer at any time.
