I'm a new velocity member; I just received a gold status match. I have a question about the guaranteed economy reward seats for gold members. Does this mean that I get 4 free tickets for myself and my family? Or does this mean that if I have enough points, they guarantee they will find us a seat on the plane? I initially thought it was the former, but now that I think about it, it's probably the latter.
Edited to add: I just found my answer but I can't post the link to the thread because I haven't posted enough on the forum. Basically, you use your reward points (or points plus pay). In my defense, I did read through 40 pages of the "new velocity frequent flyer program" thread and couldn't find the answer, which is why I posted it. But once I did, the very helpful website showed me related threads, which answered my question.
