Rail to Tromso

Mrs ausfox enjoys train travel so I thought this might be a way to get to Tromso in March or April 2018.
We would hub through Helsinki but could begin from maybe Copenhagen or Stockholm. We have visited Bergen previously so a change is in order.
I would appreciate any advice from fellow AFFers.

I haven't been able to find any reference to trains to Tromsø. Best bet would be a ferry or to fly.

I am looking at just that early next year.

No good for Tromsø but a great way to see the county from Oslo > Bergen or vice versa

... and beyond Bergen! Web site here. Basically the 'tours' stitch together rail, road and cruise segments so you can mix 'n match and choose your overnight place and timings. It worked flawlessly for me.

Tromso? I don't think there is a train service there. Were you thinking Trondheim??

I have read that there is a railway station but no train service so you are correct. The nearest train is Narvik in Sweden with a bus link between. I am thinking a combination of train and then the bus.

We took an overnight train (sleepers) from Stockholm to Boden then day train to Narvik. Stayed overnight then took the bus to Tromso. Bus left from behind a shopping centre but that was 7 yrs ago now.
