I need about 150 extra points to book some flights for my mother.
Any tips as to which earning method will see them credited to my account the most quickly?
Flights are obvious but from Perth they aren't a realistic option to earn only 150 points!

If you have an amex you could always buy Membership Rewards points and transfer them across. Although the minimum you can purchase is 1000 IIRC it's only $25 AUD. In my experience the transfer process from amex to velocity is 1-2 days

Thanks for the welcome robd, much appreciated! You're very right, not new to the game, just a lurker who has finally decided its time to try and contribute!

Erewards survey. Register and first survey still earns you 750 points. 1st survey came in a day or so and 750 points credited soon after.

Thanks Denali, I've registered and just done my first survey. Are you able to quantify the delay in crediting the 750 points?

From my experience with erewards and earning erewards points, you have to earn a minimum 1200 erewards points to be able to transfer points to your velocity FF account. Most importantly points do not transfer on 1/1 basis. 1200 Erewards = 250 velocity points which take approx 2 days to transfer to Your VFF account.

Thanks - the 750 velocity points are a special deal for joining e-rewards and completing the first survey, not a redemption of e-rewards points.
But the information on the timing is really useful. Thanks again.

For me, the 750 points for joining/complete 1st survey came into my velocity account within a few days of completing the 1st survey.

I also redeemed erewards points for velocity points a few days ago, took approx 2.5 days for them to appear in my velocity account.

I've also found that sometimes I can reopen a old email survey links and find other surveys I can complete that I didn't get an email about. No idea why but last week I got 3000 Erewards points in a day by going through old survey links (hope that makes sense).
