I am 7000 points short that I need for an award booking. Needs the point asap. Can buy the points. Thought if some one here can come up with something better. Need it in the next couple of days. Thanks.

Best and safest option is just to call and buy the points.

There are a number of ways you could earn 7,000 (or more) points for virtually no cost, however all of these methods will require you to wait a month or more for the points to post. If you need the points ASAP, your best bet is just to buy them from Qantas. It'll cost you $245.

I like the wine suggestion. :)

Just how urgently do you need those points?

Trying to redeem flights out of Dubai to South America for my mother. Her dates are fixed as she is travelling with others, so pretty much as soon as possible. Looks like a few bottles of wine would make it more palatable over paying $245 to Qantas. ;)

I would only buy the wine if you are prepared to wait would could be several days or more for the points to post and risk losing the seat. Otherwise buying the points is a sure-fire method and you should get them pretty much immediately.

Only you can decide if it's worth the risk, but if you think the points booking can wait a few days I would go with the wine.

In my very small subset of buying from epiqure, the points posted overnight. But will agree that the low risk option is to buy the points.

I'll add to the epiqure points posting overnight dataset. But no guarantees.

You can buy the points but only at 15% of the points needed for the award.
As she (your mum) has a reward in mind, that helps a bit, but you can't buy more than that %.
