All, I have done a search and looked around previous threads on the circle pacific fare, and am considering per-hkg-lax-las-lax-mel-per in D.

Is this within the rules? It appears to be well under the 22000 miles, but I am not sure about the lax-las-lax segements. Any comments?

The oneworld site has some good information.

Your restrictions are distance, segments and stopovers.

LAX-LAS-LAX should be fine.

Planning Your Trip
Routing

Travel must be on the services of American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, JAL Japan Airlines, LAN or Qantas and their affiliates only.

Travel must be via the North / Central Pacific in one direction and via the South Pacific in the other direction or vice versa. There are three different mileage based fares: A basic 22,000-mile product, a more flexible 26,000-mile product and a very flexible 29,000-mile product that can be used for travel originating in or for visiting South America.

A maximum of 20 flight segments are permitted for the entire journey. Travel between two points by surface transportation will count as one flight segment.

Flights and stopovers

Four free stopovers are allowed with the 22,000-mile product, five with the 26,000-mile product and six with the 29,000-mile product. Additional stopovers can be purchased for economical rates.

Thanks Serfty, I did look at the oneworld site before posting, but wanted to check. I also noted a distinct lack of info on the Qantas website, but they had the ONE etc fares info listed

You should be fine, I have something very close already ticketed and ready to go - PER-MEL-LAX-LAS-LAX-NRT-HKG-PER.

Be careful with the booking - Most of the LAX-LAS-LAX flights are American Eagle, so Economy only - You want one of the AA flights with First Class as you can book into A class on these US domestic flights.

Well I have just checked out Chrisb's thread, and pretty much all is there. My search picked up alot, but not that thread, perhaps the title put me off. Anyway Mod's feel free to lock this thread.
