I didn't want to start another thread but was wanting some advice.
I will be arriving on a Southwest flight from Denver and then transferring to QF to the trip back home to MEL.
The QF flight leaves at 10.05pm from TBI. The Southwest flight arrives at LAX from Denver at either 4pm or 6pm (depending on which one I choose).
My question is is this enough time to get from terminal 1 (I am fit and able bodied and am able to walk from terminal 1 to TBI easily in 10 minutes or so).
And my second question is, is it worth getting the earlier flight from DEN or the later one? I don't want to be at LAX at 4pm waiting around for QF check in (I'm flying J and hoping for the upgrade fairy on the A380), but I guess with potential delays it might be a wiser choice than getting to LAX at 6pm.
It's a Sunday by the way, the 25th of February.
Any advice please?

Walking around LAX isn't as traumatic as people think. Terminal 1 to TIBIT is 10 maybe 15 mins max, 800m, I could push my dear old dad's wheelchair with him in it inside15 mins.

Personally, I would get the earlier flight and wait than running out time for a shower and drink should the second flight have a delay.

Also will be getting in to terminal 6 from Vancouver on Air Canada another day at 5pm. Would that leave me enough time time to get to terminal 1 for a southwest flight at 8.30pm?
It will be a Friday if that makes any difference?

If everything goes correctly 3.5 hours should be fine. I presume you'd do US customs and immigration at YVR.

Luggage? What is Southwest's close off time for checking it?

Plenty of time (as long as AC isn't delayed ofc). You will clear US immigration in YVR (in my experience this has been a quick process) so the nightmare that LAX immigration can be is avoided.

I will actually be originating from Calgary with a two hour layover in Vancouver all booked with Aur Canada on the same ticket so I presume they think it’s enough time to get through US immigration in that time.
Thanks for everyone’s help so far. It’s really put my mind at ease.
