Question on travel from India to Australia

Hello, this is my first post though I have been reading a few of yours for a while though still don't understand much of what you are talking about.

Anyway, am going on a business trip to India with my boss and want to fly Qantas where possible to take advantage of the bonus SC offer (will be booking my tickets before the 21st). My boss much prefers Singapore Airlines but will fly Qantas on the proviso that we have absolutely no unnecessary waiting time in Indian airport lounges. The flights into India are no problem flying Qantas and Cathay into Chennai and a few internal flights are also fine. Coming home from Hyderabad however seems much more complicated. My boss has agreed the following schedule but I'm worried it won't work due to being with different airlines

Sun 13 Feb 11 0.20 Hyderabad 7.30 Singapore MI477 (Silk Airlines)
Sun 13 Feb 11 9.30 Singapore 20.15 Sydney QF32 (Qantas)

So my questions are:

1. Can the flights be connected so we don't need to have separate check in/baggage drops
2. If not, do we have enough time to do what needs to be done to get on the QF
3. Anything else I need to consider

1. Silk Air may or may not book your bags through to Sydney. Fortunately for you it will not matter as you are dealing with Changi. If you must collect your bags, I'm confident your bags will be waiting on the carousel before you get there.
2. Yes, enough time. Especially considering you are flying Qantas and they will most likely depart late.
3. Hyderabad airport is excellent and your boss will be surprised.
