Appears QR have taken over a deferred order of 321neos and will be rolling them out immediately from mid-October

Doha to Madinah, Multan, Peshawar, Sharjah, Sialkot, Tbilsi.

Why non-premium?
Well the deferred order is from Air Asia and Qatar will be keeping the 236 Y layout (yes that's 4 more than JQs 321LRs).

Presumably at some point they will be refitted, but for now they will add to QRs odd-ball aircraft.

As someone who has done the DOH-SHJ route a few time and planning to do it once or twice a year going forward I’ll definitely be on the lookout for that as to avoid them

At least lots of choice. I wouldn't have expected 15 daily flights DOH-SHJ split between Qatar and Air Arabia, but that is the case

Yeah. We do prefer QR as we can swing past the Al Safwa lounge so I’m hoping only one or two daily’s are on the all Y aircraft otherwise our other option is to fly DOH-DXB with QR
