I wonder if this is a one off aircraft sub or a change of equipment for the early morning DOH-SYD arrival QR906, that subsequently flies on to CBR.
We normally see it on finals for CBR when riding bikes down to school with Mstr Scarlett shortly before 0900 and the usual B773 has a pretty distinctive sound on approach compared to the regular parade of B737, Dash8 and ATR72s.
This morning the aircraft was much quieter and when it came into view from being behind a tree it was obvious why: A350.
FR24 tells me it was a (game-changing???:)) A350-1000.

FR24 also indicates that tomorrow's DOH-SYD leg will be back to a 777-300 but that the following SYD-CBR will again be an A350. Guess I'll see/hear the difference tomorrow morning as to which jet they actually fly.

Qatar Airways in last week’s schedule update filed planned Airbus A350-1000XWB introduction on Doha – Sydney – Canberra route. Previously scheduled from 16NOV19, the A350-1000XWB is now scheduled to operate from 01NOV19, replacing 777-300ER.
