QR Flight changed by Velocity

Hi all.
This problem may have been discussed elsewhere but I couldn't find anything.
I had redeemed a confirmed flight booked in J on QR126 and QR900 departing 1 October with Velocity points.
Today I received a call from Velocity saying that flight was no longer available and that all they could offer me was for the day after.
I was a bit confused and not too pleased about the situation and said so. I did ask why it was no longer available but did not get an answer.
I even asked if I could fly out of MXP but was told that everything was full in the days both prior and after my travel date,
I was then told that the agent was going to secure me the 2 October flights and that I could possibly change it afterwards at no cost (fees).
Has this happened to anyone else and what could the possible cause be for the VCE flight being changed as there still appear to be redemption bookings available on the connecting QR900.

Perhaps they have changed their frequency or operations from VCE. Looks like they are only operating VCE-DOH 4 days per week.

Thanks Jase. 99% sure it was daily but `looks like they have cut down..
I'll have to spend another day in Venice. Wonder what I can do .
Still need to find reasonable accommodation near VCE if anyone has any tips.

QR have been messing around with VCE frequencies even pre-war; they changed my flight from an A330 to A320 then cancelled it and offered me to go from MXP instead.

There's a few hotels up the road near VCE airport if that is of interest to you. There's a Hilton one (I can't remember the name). Could spend a night there?
