QFi flight numbers

Are flights such as QF7601 (0900 hours A333 VH-QPB SYD to AKL today) 'ferry' (empty) flights, or do they convey freight and mail but given the ban on Australians entering until May 2022, perhaps no (or very few) revenue passengers?

It wasn't in Sydney very long this morning as at 0723 it was at the gate ex SIN as passenger flight QF82.

I am going to guess Cargo only.

QF6xx_ series flights are usually the ferries, delivery flights etc. IIRC QF7xx_ are cargo ops - but I am sure I can and will be corrected.

Correct. No market to carry commercial passengers to NZ, so the need for freighter aircraft is huge.

No point putting cabin crew on an flight with 5 passengers. Although with the flight back to Australia it's a great opportunity to get the Jetconnect crew in to Australia and get them back on the Dreamliner.

Exactly what they are doing. The Jetconnect crew are on an average of 35-45 day patterns away from home. They are also doing the same to get SYD crew back to MEL on QF7xx_ flights so that they don't have to do the 72 hours isolation in MEL where possible (and VV) and can do it at home.
