Hi all,

So I have been a professional lurker on this site for a while now and have gained some good advice so far which has helped boost my points quickly. I am in need of buying a bulk quantity of softdrinks (60 cartons), Water (2 Pallets) and Powerade/RedBull. Now being that I want to get lots of points I was trying to figure out a way I could buy these and earn points at the same time. I have to use my company issue credit card so can't launder it through one of mine. Only option I can think of would be Woolworths but buying from them will cost at least twice as much as per there shelf prices. Does any one know if you can do bulk buys from Woolies or is there another option I am missing?

On a similar note I don't suppose you can earn points on freight at all? I am trying to convince my boss that me flying to Sydney and back is cheaper then next flight service (which it is if you don't take my wages into consideration) but he isn't buying it!

Thanks in advance for any advice, even if it is telling me I'm dreamin'!

On line shopping but you only have to pay freight up to $300 so your purchase will be over that limit.

Buy it when Woolies has it on special. When I worked there we'd have people who owned vending machines buying 24pks of coke etc in bulk because it was cheaper coming from Woolies than directly from Coke

Look at the Taco trolley run thread by Joshua, for tips about ordering bulk quantities of drinks. Plus remember some drinks can go off like Coke Zero.

Our work gets those drinks using Woolies specials plus 5% off gift cards bought using a point a dollar MasterCard. We use RAC to get $2k of gift cards per day.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Coke direct would have the worst price so you have to go leading retailer and 5% off gift cards to get the best deal.

Bit the OP is using the company CC so gift cards are out of the question.

Find a company that does get good rates and see if you can get them to do a bulk order for you. I don't mean asking the corporate office, try wandering in and asking a store manager of a large chain (fast food, entertainment etc.) if you could pay them $x to place a one-off order for you.
It may not work, but it would definitely be worth a shot.

Tell 'im 'ees dreamin'

Nothing is impossible whatmeworry. Use the company credit card to buy the 5% off gift cards. Keep the receipts from the retailer to get the GST back (if applicable).
The staff member will get the loyalty points for loading the one tonne ute for his/her efforts.

Yes the artificial sweetener is unstable with age so don't buy too much of that (6 months on it could become more of a zero and you won't be a hero).
Better read up on Red Bull by googling health risks on that brand and decide for yourself.

No need to worry about the drinks going off, I will probably have to do another run just after Christmas! As I said no credit card earn possible so would have to be Woolworths it would seem. I doubt the store manager could do me a bulk price though, might swing past tomorrow and see what they say though. I almost wish I didn't have the company card cause I would filter between $10k and $50k a month through it! Would be good to use my own card for that ;)
