Just a bit of a vent post sorry,

Last month SWMBO and I flew to Europe for a wedding, I did QF all the way and due to price SWMBO did SYD-SIN-HEL-BRU-HEL-SIN-SYD. After travel her points and SCs from Finnair started to slowly appear on her statement but 1 flight is missing the HEL-SIN. We lodge a missing points claim and it comes back saying NO RECORD OF TRAVEL... How do they suggest she got from HEL to SIN (no pun intended) after BRU-HEL to take the next flight on her statement SIN-SYD

What is also bizarre is that her boarding pass clearly has her QF WP number on there. Lucky we always keep boarding passes and everything travel related for a while so now the process can start to scan boarding pass and eticket and wait to get the SCs as she needs them to requal WP this year.

*vent over, feel better already :) *

It may happen more often than you think. We travel on OW a lot... had AY, RJ & S7 segments not appear last month - usually just one of us and they were single segments in multi segment itineraries. I assume it's more a problem of the operating carrier. Used the missing points form until HKG-ADL on CX come up as invalid but first class (we were paid J) - it can just waste your time. These days a concise email with name/date/flight/fare bucket + e-ticket + boarding pass gets it fixed within a day or two.

I hope so as her requal date is 30 September so fingers crossed! I thought (hoped) that travelling OneWorld would have been easier, usually we only travel QF and BA and haven't come across this on those flights

All steam gone now, points and status credits are already on her account about 1h30 after I sent the email, very fast reaction from the email team!

At least it didn't take you 3 months. :(

It happens to ~50% of my CX flights and in the end the points are credited manually as

- flights do not credit automatically
- submit online claim and flights post to QFF account with "INELIGIBLE - FIRST CLASS" (what this is supposed to mean I have no idea)
- send email with boarding pass and itinerary but never receive confirmation (for some reason they have no record of my emails arriving even though they have been sent )
- finally fax boarding pass and itinerary
- someone calls back to confirm what I have sent  and voila....

But just in case you lose boarding pass then the airline can provide proof of travel.

I have needed proof of travel from both KLM and CX.
