I usually use Choice group hotels when travelling and I joined their Choice Privileges reward program. The first time I went to claim Choice points when I was checking out of a hotel the receptionist told me that I couldn't claim Choice points if I was also claiming for QFF. Someone else has just told me that they didn't think that this was true though and that I could claim on both - does anyone know the answer to this one?

I had heard some hotels you can double dip at, but dunno which ones. However, some brands choose not to give points unless you book directly with them. So say you booked the stay on qantas.com and them tried to get "choice" points too, they may not give them. You'd need to check their T&C's.

In Choice hotels you must make a choice

You may not earn Choice Privileges points, Airline Rewards and Amtrak Guest Rewards points for the same stay. You must choose either Choice Privileges points, or Airline Rewards, or Amtrak Guest Rewards points and notify the hotel of your preference upon check-in.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I always hand both my QF and CP cards over the counter at check out at the usual Choice Hotel that I stay at, and only once have I been able to credit both accounts. But it never hurts to try!

Is there any hotel groups that allow you to claim both airline and their points for their loyalty programs?

Yes Hilton do Double Dip. You can have points+points (bonus hotel points), points+fixed miles or points+per dollar miles. Not on all FF Programs mind you, but I know you can with AA (I just did points+per dollar miles at Hilton properties in the US and credited them to AA no problem). You can also change your 'double dip' options at any time via their web page.

With Hilton can also credit to QFF, ie Double Dip.

I believe this is only for points+fixed miles, they don't offer a variable amount for QF like they do AA (which is only beneficial if you're spending over $500USD on hotels, else it's just a flat 500 points per stay anyway).
