QF72 - Perth-Singapore Classic Reward

Hi all - Few questions on this route.

Context: Now Australia is starting to open up, so I booked a trip from Perth to Scotland for my wife and her mum in September next year with Singapore Airlines. On the way back, using multi-flight on Qantas website, I could see BA flights from EDI to LHR and SIN up to near the end of October next year (today is 17th October 2021).

I could get BA flights to SIN but Qantas flights only shows up to 5th October next year. So questions are

Is there a way to go further than the 5th with QF72 ?
No many Business Class in this QF72 flights (only on some Sundays), why is that ? Will there be Business class seats available later ?
Any other tips and tricks will be very much appreciated.

QFF releases award seats 353 days ahead, which is why on 17 Oct 2021 you could only see up to 5 Oct 2022.

Whether J seats will be available is a lottery but it sounds like a Sunday flight is your best chance.

Also important to note, trying for an international upgrade on QF depends on your status.
As for chances of success in snapping those J seats that is.

Outright redemption in J class.

In my experience, paid one-way fares SIN-PER usually aren't outrageous, at least in Y. Another option is to look at a paid or redemption J fare SIN-xKUL-PER on MH.
