Just sitting in the BNE J lounge waiting for my QF555 flight to SYD. QF597 to Perth has been delayed for departure for some time now due to problems with the toilet system on the aircraft. The captain for the flight just came into the lounge and walked around to each of the QF597 pax to explain the working of the toilet systems on the aircraft and the reason why they can't takefoff with either the "A" or the "B" toilets system down. He also outlined the steps they are taking to get it operational again and said they had already done the pre-flight and were ready to leave within 5 mins of the plane being operational again.
Red Roo ....great effort from the captain who is obviously a credit to the company. The pax all clearly appreciated him taking the time to come and explain things to them.
Not a good day at BNE it seems. There have also been 2 SYD flights cancelled this afternoon and probably the reason why I couldn't get onto an earlier flight home.
