QF29 HK - LHR 11/09 cancelled

Hi..Just been informed that my HK - LHR flight (O economy) has been cancelled and they re-booked me for the following day...problem is that I had pre-booked and paid for all my accomodation in the UK and HK...so it's a bit of a pain...booked QF because I don't really like the sound of the CX seats...

Contacted QF service desk and they have managed to get me on a CX flight (L economy) on the 11th....being a Qantas Club pax, can I use the CX lounge??..or am I stuffed?...also they have put a notation on my booking "Inconvenienced PAX"...flight is almost empty..what are my chances of an upgrade? (not high I would imagine...and I don't hold out hope)

Unfortunately no CX lounge as a QP member in Y

If they had moved you to a BA flight then you could use the Qantas/BA lounge at HK, but no access as a Qantas Club member when flying on CX.

I suggest you try and access the Qantas Club before your flight. As a distressed pax, you may be able to gain access after explaining the situation

Hi...that's the term they put on the transfer "distressed pax"...QF service desk also suggested keeping and presenting my original itinerary at HK Qantas club to get in... Let's see how that goes... Now to try and get an upgrade!!! ... Not entitled but worth asking... Btw I assume I don't get my status credits??

You probably will get your SC's.

Keep all your BPs, tickets and any other documentation you may have and if SC's/Points don't post as they would have, contact QFF and ask for "Original Routing Credit".

You do. The flight on CX will give you the same number of SC as you would get flying QF. However, the number of FF points you earn on CX will be less.

After your flight, contact Qantas and ask for "Original Routing Credit" - that should see you get the same FF points as what you would have earnt on Qantas.
