Hello

Booked my partner and I MEL-DXB-MUC at the end of the year: EK operated, QF flight number. As a QF FF Silver member, I have free standard seat selection on EK. Unfortunately this ability doesn't extend to my travelling partner, who is FF Bronze, and either has to pay or be automatically assigned. Same booking, EK just don't let you reserve seats for non-Silver members even if a member of the travelling party has that status. A completely redundant "privilege", unless you're flying alone.

It is not desirable for my partner and I to be stuck at opposite ends of the plane (I'm sure others would love the time apart, though). The question is: any way to get around this? Will Emirates likely auto-assign my partner to a nearby seat, or will we really be separated?

Thanks
