Hello All,

Mrs Zeit and I are planning to fly QF Y+ SYD - LHR.

I fly 17/18 Dec returning 2 Jan, whilst Mrs Z flies 23/24 Dec returning 2 Jan.

Any help with flight choice would be much appreciated i.e. best flight and best seats.

Options are:

17/18 Dec - QF 1 or QF 31
23/24 Dec - QF 31 / QF 9, QF1, or QF 31
2 Jan - QF 2 (QF 10 / QF 6 is available but no Y+ on QF 6)

Are there still differences in the Y+ product between the Airbus or Boeings or have QF now fitted all with the same product?

I'm also QFF Gold so wondering what Y+ and Y loadings are currently like (not sure how you seat magicians work this out) - not expecting an Op Up obviously but it's always nice to dream :p

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Zeit

Interesting that there have not been any replies in this thread. Too late now anyway as you are already flying.

Loadings are affected by a number of things such as routes, time of the year (school holidays, Christmas etc) and day of the week if there are business travellers. There is wealth of information on AFF suggesting ways to do it and some AFF'ers have a reasonable success rate at getting op-ups as they have chosen a busy time of the year to travel.

There is still one that I know of.

You have to register, but it is 100% free.

Simply register and put in the flight details, and you can see availability in 3 classes. Hover your mouse over each class and you can see the individual fare bucket availabilities.
