Looks like an undercarriage problem and aircon was shut off.

I just LMAO with this-
A spokeswoman for Sydney Airport confirmed a Qantas aircraft landed there this afternoon but would not give any further details.
''I can confirm that there was a Qantas aircraft that landed,'' she said.

I find it interesting that 50 passengers are being assessed for heat-related illnesses when it could only have been a -200 (confirmed by Mattg in the post above) as these are the only a/c that can land at LDH...

Yes, and the only reason they are still in the fleet and its lots of fun when you have people sitting on your lap because of the 36 seats available ;)

Channel 9 had an interesting priority order on the 6 news tonight.

A hold up using AK47's, Qantas, Jules in Rooty Hill then a gang rape out West a bit further down the order. I wonder who sits there and decides the order at times.

Also to double Qantas 'woes' they made it into a 2 in 2 days story. Smoke in a cabin whilst boarding a Sydney bound plane in Melbourne yesterday apparently.

Qantas confirmed it was only 30 pax, and then later tweeted this somewhat odd tweet in the context:

@QantasAirways: We won’t let anything rain on our parade. Here's a QantasLink Dash8 Q400 taxiing in the wet under a water… http://t.co/bEFICvcsp7

A picture of a Dash 8 cooling off so to speak seemed a tad bit weird even if it was celebrating direct GLT services ex SYD.
