QF Online Chat when searching

I had not seen this before nor mentioned. Seems its an enhancement of recent weeks. Staff are located in NZ

Do you think it will be useful?

Must have worked well for JQ. And plenty of people seem to prefer the impersonal connection of online chat instead of ringing up.

Saw this the other day too, thought it was a good idea, & wonder how good it works.

I haven't seen this work with Qantas but have tried with a few other online websites.

I get the impression it is not a one on one chat and feels like the person has multiple chat sessions open. Didn't get the job done.

I don't like using the feature.

After having spent hours negotiating overseas call centres, I find these web chat things useful. I have some things I use web chat for on a regular basis. So much so, I have a copy-and-paste script of what I need, and it's done very promptly.

If it's for a specific purpose, I find them great. For general enquiries, not so much though.
