Hi all,

One business class flight a month from Perth to Hong Kong return.

What Airline & frequent flyer program will maximise SC and FF points and what is the best experience?

I have done some research;

QF platinum by the 6th trip flying CX.
QF platinum by the 4th trip flying QF
QF Platinum One by the 10th trip flying QF
KF gold by the 10th trip
KF PPS by the 5th trip
MP Diamond by the 9th trip
VF platinum by the 5th trip

Many thanks

QF - PER-SIN-HKK (QF & CX using QF number) - 12 hours
CX - PER - HKK - 8 hours
SQ - PER - SIN - HKK - 11 hours
VFF - PER-SIN-HKK (SQ flight using VFF number) - 11 hours

Personally, I would take the CX option, shorter flight, no connections, and you avoid the dreaded QF 737 to SIN.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks Franky, The direct flight would be easier going over however return departs at 3pm is no ideal.
Singapore/ VFF is 3 hours longer however departs at 7pm.
What FF should I credit the points to?

Looking at some timetables, you have a number of choices PER/SIN with SQ, and then a choice of 6 flights on to HKG. CX also has 6 flights SIN/HKG. With QF, their one flight to SIN leaves at a reasonable 1145, but the return leg arrives back just before midnight, so you have the proverbial Hobson's Choice. If your trip is only monthly, you could grin and bear the extra travel time using SQ all the way and maximise points to them. If the flying time is of no bother to you, I personally would take the CX/QF option, though I would check whether the PER/SIN leg on QF is a code share. We have flown CX often, and have enjoyed every flight, and as many have said here, directing your points to either QF or CX gives you a wider range of options on the OW network for their use. There is also the option of flying MH to KUL, and then CX on to HKG, but their departure and return flight in and out of Perth are very unfriendly.
