As a frequent flyer  who flys almost 50% QF and 50% JQ, always premium fares (J, full Y or JetFlex) I find it very annoying that I have to check in two places to check flights etc.

Why can't JQ flights be listed with QF flights on the QFF website? Today I needed to look up a JQ flight and my travel organiser was away ill. The JQ call centre was no help at all. All very frustrating!:evil::evil:

The flights are all booked. Multi City, combo of QF and JQ. I do not yet have the "you're going on a trip" email, so no details. I know I have a JQ flight on a certain day and I wanted to know this afternoon what time. I didn't have the PNR so JQ online was no good. As it turned out, neither was the chap in the call centre.

Why can't JQ trackflights by QFF number rather than PNR?

I'm more than ready to be corrected - but I think the basic answer is: they are effectively two separate entities. Much the same as expecting Amex to work off by Visa card number - same product, different companies.

What do you mean by track flights, it you mean monitor arrivals and departures then check the airport site, they often show more info than QF/JQ anyway. As for bookings, they use separate systems for this hence the issues with not all displaying on the QFF page.

You can also use the slimmed down mobile site to see all arrivals:

Qantas*-*Arrivals Domestic

And departures

Qantas*-*Departures Domestic

Those two pages show both QF and JQ.

Thx all for the comments.

In "Your Bookings" on the QFF website you can see all booked flights on QF. As you give JQ the QFF number as part of your booking, why cannot my JQ flights be seen as part of "My Bookings"?

I get the are different companies - sometimes - but in the same group.

Different companies, just like Air Pacific and QANTAS.
Also completly different booking systems, JQ doesn't use a GDS type system (navitare - newskies) and QF uses a more complex system (altea - amadeus).

So when a JQ booking is made, QF wouldn't have a clue what so ever.
