QF International Classic Award 20% Promo discount

I was looking at classic awards for SYD- SIN in late Oct and noticed that for QF flights there is a 20% promotional discount on points. I tried to find the details on the QFF news website but I cannot find it. Does anyone have any info on this and also when this offer ends as I cannot book til 1 May next week.

pity that business class isn't included. the fees and surcharges alone when compared to a expedia.br booking make it pointless.

At least to CGK it presents some decent value for peak season flights (especially as there's no expedia.com.br options available on that route). Agreed that for most destinations or in low season there's not much value in a Classic Award these days.

What dates did you search for CGK ?

I agree that Classic Awards represent very little value especially in Y.

Return this will cost you ~$795 (Assuming 30% less taxes for the return leg) plus burning 96,000 points lol does anyone here ever use Classic Awards ?

On the contrary the other day there was a sale fare MEL-SIN return for $749.

or

$357 + 28.8K syd-nou-syd

If using points, saving $461 however at a cost of 33,104 points difference (ie spent 28,800 and forgone 4,304) ... so equates to 1.39c/point. Not great points value but to me its at the lower end of the something that I would accept and use points for. Tempting as I do need to go somewhere in June

You get the applicable points and SCs, in my case $200 odd flight on Thursday:

I was looking over the Christmas period, where fares are currently about $1500 return (and based on past years they're likely to stay around that mark).
