Just been doing some browsing and it appears that the 4 x internationally configured A332's -EBG, H, I and L have solely only flown domestic sectors predominantly PER-SYD/MEL services since the changes which came into effect on 1/4.

This is great news for members who regularly fly these routes as the J product in these aircraft is far superior than on the domestically configured A332's. Freeing up these additional A330's from international duties has also enabled the dreaded -ZX* series B767 to be confined to east coast routes and enabled only the refurbished QStreaming/iPad equipped -OG* series doing transcontinental services to Perth. No -ZX* series has visited Perth yet this month.

The A333's appear to be doing a lot more international sectors now taking over flights previously operated by the -200's.

Perth may have lost out internationally at Perth but it gained tremendously domestically.

Not if you fly PER-BNE. The A332 which operated QF650/597 has been replaced by an old 763, not all of which have QStreaming yet (OGN for example which I flew in a few days ago BNE-PER). This is despite QF promising all weekday PER-BNE services after 31 March would be fitted with QStreaming.

QStreaming has very old programming in any case, so this is a very poor replacement for the entertainment provided on the domestic A332 (or even the PTV equipped 738).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

As much as there are critics of the ZX's - they do have the best exit seats of the 767's in the fleet

doing a sweep of QF.COM the only mention of the word PROMISE is on their PRICE PROMISE...some people seem to get confused with the meaning of the word...which in turn builds an expectation, and when it doesnt happen they are 'disappointed'!! .... eg.xx_ PROMISED me this seat...xx_ PROMISED me such n such meal...xx_ PROMISED me blah blah blah... xx_ PROMISED me this aircraft!!... the OVERuse of the word (especially on AFF) in my mind devalues the true meaning of the word..and is not the sole domain of QF topics/posts...it happens EVERDAY/EVERYWHERE.. on that note, i PROMISE not to comment further on this topic! :)

Call it a promise or a commitment, the point was made in a press release.

Qantas will deploy Boeing 767 aircraft with new interiors and individual in-flight entertainment on all weekday flights between Brisbane and Perth from 31 March 2013.

After flying 3 refurbs over the weekend, the programming is a little old and a little short. But I guess it is better than nothing.

Flew BNE to PER last night and although this aircraft was a refurb the Q streaming onboard was bit of a disaster. An hour or two into the flight most iPads in J were already flat. I can only imagine the same issue was present in Y. The CSM put on a movie on the fixed monitor at the front but as my seat headphone jack didn't work this was no use to me anyway. Luckily my personal ipad is ready charged for use before every flight. Take note Qantas.

I will try to stick to the A332 for my transcons seeing they are the international version now.

Well, i must have been unlucky !!!
I have flown from PER-SYD twice in the last 3 weeks in "J" overnight and copped VH-EBP (Ningaloo Reef) both times.
This is a domestic configuration, which I HATE.
Same price as Angled Flat beds and they are not even a 1/3 of the comfort.
